NEW YORK - Paris Hilton has been released after serving three days of a 23-day jail sentence in Los Angeles, a celebrity news Web site reported on Thursday.
There was no immediate confirmation of the report from her attorney or her publicist.
TMZ.com quoted 'unimpeachable sources' as saying a deal was sealed on Wednesday to cut her Los Angeles County jail term short and she was released on Thursday morning.
The 26-year-old hotel heiress and star of reality television show 'The Simple Life' was originally sentenced to 45 days for violating probation, but that was cut to 23 days.
Hilton, a symbol of privilege and American celebrity culture, was arrested for drunken driving in September. In January she pleaded no contest -- the equivalent of a guilty plea -- to a reduced charge of alcohol-related reckless driving. She was sentenced to three years' probation and had her license suspended.
